For more than a century, 267 E. Jefferson has been at the heart of Van Alstyne’s history — from cafés and shops to libraries and gathering places. These walls have seen stories of resilience, growth, and community since the late 1800s, surviving even the fire of 1926 and continuing to thrive as part of our historic downtown.

The Emerald will soon become part of this legacy. Their cocktail lounge will open its doors in one of these beautiful brick buildings, bringing a new experience to downtown while celebrating the history that built it.
